Before placing your order, it’s important to ensure your new furniture will fit comfortably in your space and can be delivered without issues. Use the guide below to measure accurately and prepare for a smooth delivery experience.
1️⃣ How to Measure Your Space
-
Refer to the product page for the Width, Depth, Height, and Diagonal Depth of the item.
-
Use painter’s tape to outline the item’s footprint on your floor. This helps you visualize how it will sit within your space and ensures it won’t feel overcrowded.
2️⃣ Planning the Delivery Path
-
Clear the delivery route of any furniture, rugs, or breakable items.
-
Measure all doorways, hallways, staircases, and elevators along the route — including the height, width, and diagonal clearance.
-
Make sure the furniture can pass smoothly through tight corners or turns.
3️⃣ Measuring Doorways & Hallways
-
Record the height, width, and diagonal depth of each doorway and hallway.
-
Determine if the item can pass straight through or if it needs to be angled or tilted.
-
Don’t overlook door frames, knobs, handles, or fixed fixtures that might reduce clearance.
4️⃣ Leave Space for Movement & Functionality
-
Maintain at least 18–24 inches of clearance between pieces for easy movement.
-
Avoid blocking power outlets, vents, or switches.
-
Add an extra 1–2 inches when measuring, just to be safe during installation.
